Salus abides by the EU (European Union) Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the Department of Commerce regarding collection, use, and retention of personal data from customers and/or potential customers from the European Union through the salussolutions.com domain.

The Collection of Personal Data

Please be aware that most of our websites are available and open to you without having to provide any Personal Data (defined below). However, in order to access and use certain Salus websites or parts of websites, Salus may request Personal Data from you, like your name, e-mail address, company name and telephone number (personally identifiable information or "Personal Data"). Salus uses this information to customize your experience on our web site and provide you with a password to use these web sites, or for the purposes stated at the time of collection, such as participation in a promotion. You have the right to refuse to provide this information, however access to certain secure portions of the website(s) will not be provided.

By registering on a Salus web site, you will be deemed to have consented to the use, transfer, export and retention of your Personal Data as set out in this privacy statement. Consequently, after registering, Salus may use this submitted information for the purposes for which you and Salus have intended and to provide you with additional information. If you wish to delete any inaccuracies with your Personal Data, please see the "Your Rights" section below.

Transfer of Personal Data

WHEN YOU SUBMIT PERSONAL DATA TO SALUS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT SALUS MAY TRANSFER MY PERSONAL DATA TO, AND RETAIN AND PROCESS MY PERSONAL DATA IN, ANY SALUS SITE(S) INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OUR DATA CENTER AND/OR OFFICES IN THE UNITED STATES, REGARDLESS OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH YOU REGISTERED. IF YOU DO NOT APPROVE OF SUCH TRANSFER, PROCESSING AND/OR RETENTION, DO NOT SUBMIT PERSONAL DATA TO SALUS.

Collecting Domain Information

Salus also collects domain information (e.g. IP address and referring URLs) as part of its analysis of the use of this site. This data enables us to become more familiar with which customers visit our site, how often they visit and what parts of the site they visit most often. Salus uses this information to improve our web-based offerings. This information is collected automatically and requires no action on your part. We do not tie personal data to domain information, except as necessary to prevent abuse or fraud on our site.

Disclosure to Third Parties

If you request something from a Salus Web site, for example, a callback, or specific materials, Salus will use the information you provide to fulfill your request. Salus will not, at any time, disclose your personal information to a third party.

Use of Tracking Technologies

Some Salus websites use "cookies," which are small files that the site places on your hard drive for identification purposes. A cookie is a piece of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your computer as an anonymous tag that identifies your computer but not you. Cookies are used to better serve you when you return to the Web site. You should note that cookies cannot read data off of your hard drive. Your web browser may allow you to be notified when you are receiving a cookie, giving you the choice to accept it or not. By not accepting cookies, some pages may not fully function and you may not be able to access certain information on Salus websites.

We also use local shared objects, also known as Flash cookies to display content based upon what you view on our site to personalize your visit. Flash cookies are different from browser cookies because of the amount of, type of, and how data is stored. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove Flash cookies. To learn how to manage privacy and storage settings for Flash cookies click Here.

Some of Salus' vendors (e.g., tracking utility services) use cookies and web beacons on our site. Our third party tracking utility services company uses a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. These clear gifs are not tied to our visitors' personally identifiable information. Salus has no access to or control over these third party tracking technologies.

This privacy statement covers the use of the tracking technologies by salussolutions.com only and does not cover the use of cookies by any 3rd party.

Your Rights

YOU MAY HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO A COPY OF ALL THE PERSONAL DATA ABOUT YOU HELD BY SALUS. SALUS WILL RESPOND TO YOUR REQUEST WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS.

Changes to this Policy

Salus reserves the right to change, modify or update this statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If Salus makes material changes to this policy, Salus will notify you here by means of a notice on the home page.
